2a Rigs Road Stornoway HS1 2RF
Domestic and Commercial Skip Hire - 4, 8 & 12 Cubic Yard Capacities (Open & Closed)
Midi Skip - 4 Cubic Yards Capacity
Dimensions - 7ft (2.01m) length x 6ft (1.71m) width x 3ft (1.00m) height.
Capacity - Equivalent to 40 bin bags/13 wheelie bins/4MT
Our 4-yard “midi” skip is our most compact skip size available.
Offering sufficient space to accommodate waste from kitchen or bathroom refits or a garden clearance, a 4 yard skip is ideal for domestic jobs requiring a convenient and affordable on-site waste solution, or as a secondary skip for waste materials that cannot be mixed.
Relatively small in size, this skip lends itself perfectly to jobs where space is limited and can be stored off-road in gardens or on driveways.
The skip is open only.
Builders' Skip - 8 Cubic Yards Capacity
Dimensions - 12ft (3.66m) length x 6ft (1.83m) width x 4.5ft (1.37m) height.
Capacity - Equivalent to 80 bin bags/25 wheelie bins/8MT
These skips are perfect for most types of waste, including rubble, organic waste, wood, metal, furniture, plastic and much more. They are commonly used by commercial clients for small to medium sized building and construction sites.
They are also used by domestic clients for large home improvement projects, especially home improvements that involve multiple smaller projects, including garden clearances, kitchen refits, wall removal, bathroom refits and conservatory removal.
This is the largest skip for hire for heavy inert waste like soil, concrete, and other builders' waste.
The skip can be either open or closed.
Maxi Skip - 12 Cubic Yards Capacity
Dimensions - 13ft (3.96m) length x 6ft (1.83m) width x 6.5ft (1.98m) height.
Capacity - Equivalent to 100 bin bags/32 wheelie bins/8MT
Whilst usually used for commercial and industrial work, the 12-yard Maxi Skip is ideal for very large house clearances, multi-room refurbishments or for combining waste from more than one project. The large capacity makes it ideal for the disposal of very large items that otherwise would have to be disposed of separately.
However, this skip is not suitable to fill completely with heavy inert waste like soil or concrete, as the combined weight of the skip, its contents and the weight of the skip lorry required to transport it would be more than the allowable legal road weight limit.
A 12 yard skip can be hired for large house clearances, large garden waste, green waste (not soil) and for large loads of light builders waste such as wood, plastic or metal. It is the best option for combining small but heavy waste with some bulky, lighter items.
The skip can be either open or closed.
