Plasterboard Recycling Skip Hire Service
Angus Maciver Skip Hire offers cost effective and environmentally acceptable solutions for plasterboard waste disposal and recycling.
A total ban on the disposal of plasterboard waste at mixed waste landfills is now in force. Uncontained plasterboard cannot be placed in a skip with mixed waste. When waste plasterboard is mixed with biodegradable waste it breaks down to release hydrogen sulphide which is a toxic gas.
Because of this hazard environmental agencies have now placed strict guidelines on the disposal of waste containing identifiable gypsum-based materials, such as plasterboard, thermal laminates, glass reinforced gypsum (GRG), plasters, cove and ceiling tiles.
The responsibility for segregation of all plasterboard waste from other waste now lies with any waste producer such as drylining contractors, developers, and construction companies.
We provide a waste plasterboard skip hire, and collection, service where the waste is stored by us after initial processing, and then transported to a registered plasterboard recycling centre.
We can be flexible depending on the client’s preference by providing either skip bags or various sized skips to house the waste and the process can be scaled to suit any size of project.
